Daniel Radcliffe is confused that people are upset he’s not starring in 50 Shades Of Grey, because he had no interest in ever being in the film.
Charlie Hunnam was cast as Christian Grey in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Twilight fanfiction turned bestseller, but at one stage every actor in Hollywood was linked to the role.
Daniel admitted to being a little shocked that anyone had ever thought he could be right for the part.
Daniel told MTV News, "I literally had someone say to me for the first time today, 'The world's in uproar you're not playing Christian Grey.' And I'm like, 'If this is uproar, it's inaudible.' I think there was approximately no people wanting me to play Christian Grey, including myself.
"I have to say, no offence to anybody, I'm sure they're going to do a great job on the movie, but it's not something that I think would have been a good next step for me."
Honestly we couldn’t imagine Dan playing Christian Grey! That would actually just be weird.
In other Daniel news, he admitted that he finally had an encounter with his number one crush Katy Perry – but was too scared to say anything.
Daniel said, "Mentally I am very close to Katy Perry... I've been in a room with her since (I admitted the crush) and I couldn't say (anything). I was across a room from her and I was like 'I can't. I can't even say anything (to) you (because you have) probably seen an interview with me (and) you know these thoughts are in my head. I can't even look at you'."
