Kylie Minogue is set to make a special appearance on The X Factor Australia this year, when she helps Dannii Minogue choose her final contestants!
Dannii is a judge on this year’s X Factor, and there was only one person she could ask to join her as a mentor in the home visits round – her sister Kylie.
The two haven’t appeared on Australian TV together since the 80s, on Young Talent Time.
"I don't even want to think of how long ago that was," Kylie told news.com.au. "My hair was bigger, my waist was smaller ... good times."
Kylie has previously appeared as a mentor on the UK’s X Factor, while Dannii is a seasoned reality show judge.
"Dannii is so good at this, I'm just along for the ride," Kylie said. "It's really fun to do something together, so it was a done deal when she asked me.
"This feels normal for us. This kind of show is one of Dannii's natural habitats, but I do feel at home on a TV set and being with my sister. If you've grown up being a tennis player you're comfortable on a tennis court, we're both comfortable in this environment."
But Kylie’s not sure if she would have auditioned for a show like The X Factor when she was a teen starting out.
"I have questioned that myself. I don't know. I'm sure I wouldn't make it through. I really am."
The X Factor kicks off later this year. The judges are Dannii, Redfoo, Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
