Selena Gomez Covers Cry Me A River - About Justin Bieber?

Selena Gomez performed a cover of the Justin Timberlake classic ‘Cry Me A River’ during a recent show – was it directed at on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber?

Selena was performing at her U.S. Fund for UNICEF gig in New York, and she surprised fans by doing a few covers including Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time and The Lumineers’ Ho Hey. But the one that is getting the most attention is her version of Cry Me A River.

Before she performed the tune she told the audience, “I have been through a lot the past few months. It's been weird and sad and cool. This song definitely speaks to me.”

She then delivered a heart wrenching performance of the break up tune, which Justin Timberlake supposedly wrote after his split with Britney Spears.

While we’re not totally sure of Justin and Selena’s relationship status right now, it seems like they are currently broken up.

Strangely enough, Justin performed the same tune in a recent concert. He also covered it as a young teen when he first started posting videos on YouTube.

Do you think Selena’s performance was directed at Justin?

And for comparisons sake, check out Justin’s version below.
