The Collective have arrived, like angels from heaven sent to save The X Factor Australia!
Who or what is The Collective? It’s the super group created by the X Factor Australia judges as part of their desperate search to find Australia’s own version of One Direction. Trent, Will, Zach, Jayden and Julian all auditioned individually, but the judges thought they would be better off as part of a super hot boyband.
And boy did they get it right. Last night The Collective performed live for the first time together. And as they descended from the roof on floating platforms to the opening strains of Jessie J’s Domino, we knew that we were in for a treat!
The boys certainly showed the rest of the contestants how it’s done, delivering a tightly choreographed and energetic performance. The girls in the audience were screaming the whole way through, and the judges themselves were overwhelmed by just how good these boys are.
Ronan called it “the best performance I’ve ever seen on X Factor anywhere in the world”, although he may have been a little bit biased as their mentor. Nat called the performance “phenomenal”, while Guy said it was “unbelievable” and Mel was similarly impressed by the fivesome.
It certainly was an explosive performance, and we have a feeling these guys will be in the competition for a very long time.
