The rumours have been floating around for a while, but now it seems to be official -- One Direction will be performing at the Olympics Closing Ceremony!
The news was confirmed by the Mirror, and apparently Ed Sheeran will also join the boys on stage.

Niall Horan is pretty desperate to attend the Olympics -- he tweeted, "whats with all the empty seats at the olympics..if they wan a give any tickets away ..i'll have them hahaha!"

Other artists rumoured to be performing include the Spice Girls (YES PLEASE!!), The Who, Take That and Queen.
We will definitely be tuning in -- even though the time difference is RIDICULOUS! But you guys are used to that right? Just another day for an Aussie directioner.
