Puberty Blues On Channel Ten - First Look

Channel Ten's new version of Puberty Blues will be hitting Australian screens next month!

Based on the book by Kathy Lette and Gabrielle Carey, the series will be about two teenage girls growing up in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney in the 1970s. It was famously made into a movie in 1981 starring Nell Schofield and Jad Capelja.

The series stars Ashleigh Cummings and Brenna Harding as the two main teens, and also features a whole stack of well known Australian actors including Claudia Karvan, Susie Porter and Dan Wyllie. Plus Annie from Home and Away (Charlotte Best) plays one of the main mean girls... and the word moll/mole will definitely be making a few appearances!

The series will be shown on Channel Ten in August.

The very first full length promo for the series aired last night between Masterchef and Offspring, and we think it looks great!

And just for comparison's sake... here's the trailer for the 1981 movie.
