Amber Riley appears to have finished up her role on Glee, tweeting today that she has "closed a chapter in her life".

Amber has played Mercedes on the hit TV show since its pilot episode, but after three seasons it appears that it is time for her character to move on.

Amber tweeted, "That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I've known day in and day out for three years. I'm going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now :) But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL'S OUT Glee Kids! Let's play!"

She added, "Stay tuned to see what's next for Mercedes ;)"

Does this mean she's finished with the show? This sure does sound like a goodbye message!

No one ever really leaves Glee - so if Mercedes is heading off to college we're sure they'll find a way to bring her back for guest appearances.
