Socialite Kim Kardashian was blasted recently for her support of recently executed murderer Troy Davis.
Kardashian was among a number of celebrities fighting Georgia officials to reverse Davis's death sentence.
When the sentence was delayed on Wednesday the TV reality star took to twitter in support of the decision.
She posted, "There is still hope! The Supreme Court has delayed Troy Davis's Execution for 1 hour to review his case!!!"
However the hope was short lived as Davis, convicted of the killing of an off duty police officer in 1991, was finally administered a lethal injection and died at 11.08pm local time.
In response to the news of the execution Kardashian offered her condolences to Davis's family tweeting, "Such an injustice!!! Troy Davis was executed! My prayers are with the Davis family! #RIP Troy Davis."
The tweet obviously angered some of the socialites followers with one, @kbeanie83, viciously lashing out at the star.
The fan tweeted, "@kimkardashian Troy Davis is a guilty piece of s*** how can you support him? Like father like daughter apparently."
Kardashian's late father was infamous for being O.J Simpson's attorney during his 1990's murder trial.
Kardashian's response to the below-the-belt jab?
Simply, "Wow."
What do you think? Should Kim have voiced her opinion in public? Or should she have kept it to herself?
