REVIEW: Friends With Benefits Starring Justin Timberlake And Mila Kunis

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. Two of Hollywood's hottest stars. Teaming up for the raunchy comedy Friends With Benefits. What could go wrong here?

Friends With Benefits focuses on Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake), two new friends who decide to take their physical relationship to the next level without falling in love. But could you resist falling in love with Mila or Justin? They get up to all kinds of crazy shenanigans, and eventually feelings do get involved.

Mila is hot. Justin is hot. Mila is a massive star. Justin is a massive star. Woody Harrelson is a scene stealer as Tommy, Dylan's strange workmate. And cameos from Emma Stone and Andy Samberg start off the film nicely and almost made me wish that we had a little more time with their characters.

The actors try hard to bring life to their characters, but at times it seems like there is something missing. Whether it's a lack of chemistry, or something lacking in the script, there were scenes were it felt like Mila and Justin were just running their lines and weren't actually doing much acting. And a sequence involving Justin getting rescued from the Hollywood sign seemed totally out of place, and would have been more at home in an Adam Sandler movie.

There's nothing ground breaking about Friends With Benefits, and the story itself has even been done this year with No Strings Attached starring the equally hot combination of Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. But it's an entertaining film and proves that we need to see more Mila Kunis on the big screen.

Score: 6/10
