Katy Perry Quits Drinking Alcohol

Katy Perry Quits Drinking Alcohol

10 August 2010

Pop star Katy Perry has decided she never wants to be one of those celebrities caught stumbling out of a bar...so she's quit drinking alcohol!

The singer insists her life is too busy to spend time boozing, and she regularly works 13-hour days in the studio or on tour.

Check out Katy Perry's super HOT video 'California Gurls'!

The 'California Gurls' hitmaker is adamant she has to strive to keep ahead of her pop rivals, and has compared the music industry to stripper film Showgirls.

She tells Britain's Guardian magazine, "You have to bust your a** at this which is why you don't find me getting s**tfaced (drunk) in bars... It's so intense, it's like you catch a rocket and you're hanging on for dear life and you're like, 'Go!"

"The second record I'm more buckled in because, God, how many times do you see people slump on their sophomore record? Nine out of 10? But I'm still working, like, 13-hour days, five, six days a week and singing on top of it. And knowing that there's someone right behind me, ready to go, ready to push me down the stairs, just like in Showgirls."

Well from what we've heard you've got nothing to worry about Katy...your second album is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!
