Nicole Richie Wins Restraining Order Against Car Crash Paparazzi

Nicole Richie has come out on top after winning a restraining order against the paparazzo who caused her car accident a few weeks ago.

Nicole was left slightly injured following the accident whereby snappers Ivon Miguel and Bam Bam ran her off the road.

They've now been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from her at all times and they're to have no contact with her children or her staff, according to the court ruling on Friday.

When thehothits.com spoke to Nicole's partner Joel Madden last week we asked HIM for his thoughts on the subject.

"I feel like I don't even like talking about it because... it never comes off right," Joel tells thehothits.com. "It's like, you Live in LA so (the paparazzi are) here... by talking about it I don't wanna come off like I'm complaining about my life!"

"The dude was an asshole..." Joel continued. "Hunting her down... obviously for the baby, they all wanted baby pictures... and so the dude was just... driving like a madman around her... and then he ran into her."

"At the end of the day, what am I gonna do - sit here and cry about it?"

Nicole told the court that the abuse from the paparazzi causes her "severe emotional distress" and she's worried another accident could happen, especially when she has her children in the car with her.

Joel and Benji Madden are currently here in Australia helping out on Australian Idol and then sticking around for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards coming up on November 13!
