John Mayer Caught With a Knife at JFK Airport on the Way to Australia?!

John Mayer has been Busted trying to smuggle a small knife onto a recent flight, according a U.S. tabloid report. The singing sensation is set to hit Australia for a promo tour next week, including an exclusive performance at Kia Soul Live at the Chapel.

The singer was caught with the blade as he passed through a security checkpoint at New York's JFK Airport on 19 October (09), reports Star Magazine.

The tabloid claims the eagle-eyed guard didn't confiscate The Knife - instead he let Mayer hand it to his chauffeur, who returned it to the star's home.

A source tells Star magazine, "John got busted carrying a pocketknife through security. But when the officer realised who it was, he got so starstruck that he let John go and gave HIM back the knife, so long as he didn't take it on board."
