Lady Gaga and Lily Allen collected the big ones at the Q Awards in the UK yesterday (26Oct09), which caused quite a stir at the traditionally rock-based awards event.
Lady Gaga won 'Video Of The Year' for her Just Dance single, while Lily Allen won 'Best Song' for her number one single The Fear, beating out more favoured competition from the likes of Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys.
But it wasn't a complete white wash for the pop pricesses, Kasabian took home the 'Best Album' award for 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', whilst the Arcitc Monkeys were named 'Best Live Act'.

Kanye West's protege Mr Hudson was named 'Breakthrough Act', while veteran New York noise merchants Sonic Youth received the 'Innovation In Sound' award.
The night wasn't completely without saga though, when an Amy Winehouse stunt went horribly wrong. The 26-year-old sent the event into chaos after severely delaying a last minute surprise appearance to present her good friends The Specials with the Q Inspiration Award.
