Taylor Swift "So Star-Struck!" Meeting John Mayer

Taylor Swift might be one of the biggest stars on the planet right now, but that didn't stop her from turning into a fan girl when she met her idol John Mayer, she told us here at thehothits.com when we caught with her this morning!

John recently joined Taylor onstage at one of her concerts and have also collaborated on a song for his upcoming album 'Battle Studies' called 'Half My Heart', but when the pair first met, Taylor was losing it!

"When I met John Mayer he actually came up to me at this party a couple years ago and told me he was a big fan of my music. I think I was so starstruck at that point that I just kind of listened to what he had to say, and I couldn't believe he actually knew who I was," she told thehothits.com.

"I was 17 at the time and it was just so cool to have him come out on stage and do a surprise performance at my show in LA."

That's not the only time Taylor reckons she's made an idiot of herself when meeting a famous person - she did the same thing when meeting actress Kate Walsh, the star of Grey's Anatomy and now Private Practice.

"When I'm a big fan of people I just start talking so fast and its embarassing most of the time," says Taylor.

Message to Aussie Fans

Taylor is coming Down Under in just a few months for her February 2010 'Fearless Tour' and thehothits.com wanted to know what message she had for her Aussie fans:

"I just want to say thank you so much for everything. They've been so unbelievable to me and I can't wait to get back down there and the band and crew cannot stop talking about how much fun it's going to be to go back! We're so excited about seeing everybody and hopefully we'll see you guys at the show!"
