Chris Brown Starts Community Service - Picking Up Rubbish!

Shamed R&B singer Chris Brown is cleaning up The Streets of his native Virginia after starting his community service sentence as punishment for beating up his ex-Girlfriend Rihanna.

The 20 year old was handed five years probation and ordered to serve six months hard labour in his hometown of Richmond after pleading guilty to assaulting the Umbrella beauty in February (09).

Brown reported for duty on Wednesday morning (16Sep09), logging online to give fans a brief update on his Twitter.com page.

He revealed, "(I am) on my way to community service."

The singer's punishment will involve washing cars, picking up trash and removing graffiti.

Brown has also been ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence programme and was ordered to stay away from Rihanna for the duration of his probation.
