Malaysia Cancels Avril, Saying "Too Sexy"!

Following on from their criticism of The Pussycat Dolls for their risque, sexualised image, Muslims in Malaysia recently called for Avril Lavigne's concert to be cancelled.Apparently Avril's style of music (too punky), dress (too revealing) and dancing ("too sexy") is a bit much for their religion.
Well, they won their bid - no more Avril!
"We don't want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models," said Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a spokesperson for the Malaysian opposition party.
Apparently their upcoming Independence Day was part of the reason they canned the show too.
A rep from the ministry says: "It's not in the good spirit of our National Day. If we go ahead with the concert, it is contrary to what we are preparing for."
It seems a bit unfair that everyone is banned from watching the show. Shouldn't non-Muslims be able to see the show even if other people think it's too sexy?
Or maybe Avril should have tried "un-sex" her look a bit. Hey - if the Pussycat Dolls can do it, anyone can!

avril is pretty decent dressed she is not skanky at all i can't belive this there tons of artists who wear way less than avril they are way strict hope avril comes here for a concert go avril u rock

That's stupid as. If they think it's 'too sexy' then they don't have to go :/ There are people in Malaysia that aren't Muslim you know.. It's not just about YOU (Muslims)
