Ushering In A New Movie Star

It was always going to happen, eventually Usher would get the lead in a big screen movie. He's had bit parts in Hollywood movies like 'She's All That' and 'Texas Ranger', so it was only a matter of time that he would line-up for a full feature. It looks like Usher will take time out from his hectic music life to devote more time to being in the movies.

One of them is about to go into production, it's called 'The Ballad Of Walter Holmes' in which Usher will play himself. The story is of an R&B singer from the streets who finds his path in life through his music. The other big film might go straight to DVD because it didn't do so well overseas, 'In The Mix' is also about music. Usher takes on the role of When the hottest DJ around who happens to save the life of a girl from the mafia, he then goes from mixing beats to being beaten up by the mob.
