Twilght's Robert Pattinson Embarrassed by Rumours of a "Cheesy Date" With Megan Fox

Twilight 'New Moon' star Robert Pattinson was left red-faced after a recent, false, article claimed he took Megan Fox out on a date...a very cheesy one!

The stars fuelled speculation about a relationship when they posed for photos together at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles in August (09).

The Transformers beauty subsequently dismissed the reports, insisting she barely knows the Brit heart-throb.

And the story made Pattinson cringe - because of all the phony details.

He tells British magazine Heat, "I wouldn't be that cheesy if I was to go on a date with her. Because I read this magazine thing that said, 'He was rubbing her back, they were drinking Merlot... He was reading her poetry.' I was so embarrassed, like, 'Oh God!'"

But Pattinson admits his friends were very impressed by the rumours: "I kept getting all these texts from my mates in England saying, 'Whoa, are you going out with Megan Fox?' And I'd met her once, for like two seconds."
