Pete Sticks Up for Travis!!

Those Decaydance boys sure do stick together! Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz has taken to his blog and is defending the actions of his friend, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy.As we told you yesterday, Travis was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri for assault after he was called a "f***ing ignorant n****r" by a concert-goer at their Warper Tour show.
Anywho, this is what Pete said in his blog:
"you know what? you call my friend a "n**ger", i dont even give a f**k what happens to you. i dont want to see you in this scene. i dont want to see you at shows. you are who we write songs about. you are who we think about when we hate. radiohead, karma police over and over again in my head.
what a joke.
you are f***ing pathetic and anyone that disagrees should put their white hood on too. i dont want your ticket money. i dont want your cd sales. id rather be poor and unknown.
i am angrier than i have been in a long time. hate upon hate upon hate.
thank god for my friends."

A publicist for the Gym Class Heroes has also released a statement, further explaining how the incident occurred.
"Somebody in the crowd was taunting Travis with racial slurs. Travis invited him onstage with the intent of calling him out in front of the crowd, with absolutely no intention of a physical altercation. When he tried to help him onstage, the guy hit Travis in the knee area (which has been in a brace because of a recent sprain), forcing Travis to defend himself. At this point, a scuffle broke out.
"This whole incident is unfortunate. Travis McCoy and Gym Class Heroes are anything but violent. Their message is about racial unity and having a good time. It's amazing that in 2008 there are still people out there that would say such ignorant things.
"Travis is deeply upset that this happened, and has expressed his apologies to the band's fans that were at the show, Kevin Lyman, and the Vans Warped Tour. GCH is putting this behind them and looks forward to seeing everyone on the rest of the tour."

aww wat the hell! that is rediculous... Travis had every right for doing what he did. and i am glad that pete is been such a great friend and sticking up for him. I love gym class heros and Pete :D
