I really count myself as one of the lucky ones - my whole life i've been surrounded by great music, and so it goes that music should be the road for me. With my dad a vituoso on the piano, and my mum one of the most soulful singers i've ever heard, I can only hope to live up to the standard they have set. From the moment I finished school, (where I studied classical piano and violin at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music) I was drawn to live performance and spent a few years honing my skills on the road and in the studio with many great artists and bands, singing both lead and backing vocals. During this period I started writing my own songs and realised I had a passion for song writing, and so went on to record my first album, released through Workstation Records/Village Roadshow Music/ Sony Music Aust. 2006 has been a great year, with my self titled debut receiving two ARIA nominations for best urban release and best female artist, an MTV AVMA nomination for best r'n'b video, APRA award nomination for best urban release, and winning the inaugral Urban Music Awards for Best female artist and Best R'n'B album. Right now I am writing for my second album, and cant wait to hit the studio and get these songs recorded so you can all hopefully enjoy them :) My new single: IN THE BASEMENT is OUT NOW!
Her new album 'Get Me Home' will be released later in 2008.
