Anthony Callea Splits with Boyfriend!

After famously coming out of the closet in March this year, Australian Idol graduate Anthony Callea has admitted he is now "officially single" since splitting with his boyfriend of over three years."I am officially single as of a week-and-a-half ago,'' says Anthony. "You know ... s**t happens. It's onwards and upwards for me from here.''
Anthony's met his ex Paul when he was working as a talent coordinator on the set of Oz Idol in 2004, the year in which Anthony came runner up. After the series ended Paul decided to move to Melbourne to be with his new love.
Confidential is reporting that it was Anthony's arrogance that drove the pair apart!
"Paul was besotted with Anthony but Anthony treated him like s**t,'' says their source.
"He's pretty arrogant and spoilt and Paul put up with it for a long time.''
Oh my! Oh well, we're sure Anthony won't have any trouble finding any more suitors!

I don't believe what 'Confidential' wrote. They just want more attention and money. I think Anthony seems nice, and it sux that they broke up after 3 whole years!! - that's a long time! Although gay people probably have it a lot harder trying to find a partner I'm sure Anthony will do ok, especially since he hascome out of his shell now (and cause he is famous -duh)!. :icon_biggrin:

Hey! Anthony isn't like that He wouldn't treat anyone badly. He is a decent guy-no, better than decent. Paul and Anthony probably just grew apart. Things like that happen to people all the time

I love Anthony Callea, and really don't care that he's gay, I just love his music and he's real sweetheart. It was his 25th Birthday yeasterday and he posted a lovely video message to his fans on his website. I have met him a few times at his concerts and he is really lovely person. The media just write anything, don't name their sources as they just make them up. The media just love to hype things up, thats why they have had him in the papers just about everyday for the last week or more. Whatever reason they split, 3 years was a long time to be together, so he can't have been treating him bad otherwise why would he have stuck around. I wish them both well, and look forward to what 2008 brings.
