Michael Jackson's Hair On Fire - New Video Released!

16 July 2009

New video footage has been released of Michael Jackson's hair on fire filmed while shooting a TV commercial for Pepsi in 1984.

The video shows Michael Jackson unaware for his hair was on fire for the first few seconds of the blaze, despite flames and smoke coming from his scalp.

A rush of people quickly rush to Michael's side to try and put out the blaze, and when they lift him up the camera shows the bald patch Michael has suffered all his life. From the time of the incident right through to his death this year, MJ wore a wig.

Many people also believe that the fire kick started Jackson's pain killer and plastic surgery addictions, with Michael suffering second and third degree burns and using cosmetic surgery to try and fix the damage.

The fire occurred in January 1984 while Michael was filming an ad for Pepsi in LA, in front of an audience of 3000 people. It was caused by a pyrotechnics display going off too early in the take.
