Powderfinger On The Verge Of Breaking Up!

According to rumours it seems like one of Australia's favourite bogan-rocker-bands Powderfinger are headed for splitsville!

The Brisbane boys are set to announce their break up and a farewell tour once they've recorded their last album for Universal.

A source close to the band told the Daily Telegraph: "There's no bad blood at all. The guys have just come to the end of the line really and have other things to do. They're family men now. They have kids - they're moving on and I think they just feel like they've achieved all they can."

Though the band's manager, Paul Piticco was quick to dismiss the rumours, "I have had 20 journalists ask the same thing every time we are about to launch a tour or an album over the last few years. I can't imagine they would be (splitting). That's news to me."

The band's new album 'Golden Rule' is due for release next month...so we're wondering if the 'split rumours' are just a rather clever marketing ploy from the boys??
